Arizona

Tucson, what a pawesome entrance to Arizona. My humans took me to Pallo Verde Dog Park where I made plenty of new friends. I got so excited that I fell off the picnic tables twice, I was a little embarrassed but continued to play.

The next day, I had an even better day. My humans first took me on a bike ride in Catalina State Park. At first, I didn’t want to go inside my new bike trailer. However, after hiking the Birding Trail it didn’t seem like such a bad idea. My trailer has a fan and a bed for me to relax while sticking my head out of the sunroof to look at the huge Saguaro Cactus all around the park. I even got to claim a few for myself before leaving.

Than BINGO!!!!! My dream park, Cosmo Dog Park in Gilbert, AZ. Guys, this park had giant pools with a beach for me to swim with plenty of room to run. To top it all off, they had an outdoor shower area, which I needed for all the sand before continuing our drive to Sedona.

Sedona, one of my favorite places because I LOVE climbing on rocks and the city is very pet friendly. We started off with Mesa Verde Airport to feel this thing called the Vortex. The hike was so much fun because it had shaded areas, rocks to climb, and an amazing view of airplanes taking off. The Bell Rock trail was also one of my FAVORITE hikes ever. It was a breezy morning, the rocks were cool on my paws and I loved climbing up and up until it wasn’t safe anymore.

We tried going to Cathedral Rock because it is pet friendly but the shuttle that you have to take is not. How do you expect me to go? Instead, My humans took me to Montezuma Castle National Monument and Montezuma Well that they found on Bring Fido. I had a BLAST. I was able to sniff around and meet a bat hanging out in a cave. There was a huge well in the middle of the park that I really wanted swim in until I heard it was the home of a LOT of leeches. I also saw a huge Castle that was built right into the mountain from like a million dog years ago, my mom said I couldn’t climb up to it, but I’m pretty sure I could have.

Then, Yes!!!, my humans found a lake for me to go swimming in the middle of Arizona. They LOVE me. We stayed at Blue Water RV Park in Parker with a view of the Colorado River. For two days, I had my morning poop with the best sunrise view and my evening walks with the best sunset view.

On our way out of Arizona, my humans made sure we stopped at Lake Havasu City Dog Park so I can have some fun. I met many new friends and played until I was so thirsty that i put my whole face in the water bowl. Then, we walked on the actual London Bridge, but not for long because there were too many cars passing and my humans are always extra cautious.

Overall, my favorite spots in Arizona were the Colorado River because I am a Florida girl and of course, climbing Bell Rock.

My humans decided to go on a Hot Air Balloon ride without me but I understand it is all about my safety.

They clearly had a blast as you can see their video! Way to go mom and dad!
